Week 3+4

At the last week we had given handouts of first assignment’s due date and explanation.
There are two written assignment in each different due date, one of the first assignment is that choose one of the given case studies.
Moreover all these assignment should be written in academic writing, there are some sorts of regulation in the writing such as intro, body, conclusion etc.
I suppose it will be hard to organize the writing because I don’t have much experience in the academic writing.
However I believe it will be helpful to improve my writing skills and when I finish this I will be confident in writing.

We made our company name as E.S.S (Eco Sail System) which is related to protect our environment and keep develop our industry with solar power.

Two workshops I have attended last week one of them was library work shop and the other one was about presentation of referencing.
The library workshop was about researching skill on the internet it was useful to find a book which I need.
There are many different ways to research which are type in with full name of a book, keyword or publisher of the book etc.
Second workshop was also useful to understand how we should to do reference in our writing I knew there are different ways to do reference by different resources.
For example if I write my assignment after reading a book I should leave the publisher of the book, date of published the book and page number etc. however if we do reference by researching on website there is different way to do reference.



This week our topic was sustainability in different views of aspects of our product such as environmental, social, economic and governance.
The brainstorm starts from what is the biggest problem in our life.
There were many things came out that it was global warming, oil crisis, war, different sort of pollution, over population etc.
By doing this we need to find out renewable energy which is operated with natural energy such as water, wind and solar power etc.
Our group member have chosen different part of subject and research each of them on the web, I concentrated on how we will affect financial growth with environmental goals and how our team will be financially successful by social goals.
Our product main resource is solar panel, Perhaps the top adventage of solar energy is that it is one of the cleanest sources of electricity.
Moreover by recharging batteries with solar power then we could reduce our electrical bills which are the strong point of using solar power system.
We suppose our main target customer’s are those who wish to keep carbon emissions down and protect New Zealand’s environment.
Because our product doesn’t focused on high performance propulsion systems or cheap systems but it is clean energy efficient system.

It is late to post last weeks blog because sometime it is hard and take much time to write down in English it is the biggest reason but I’m keep concentrating to post this blog and I believe it will be getting better and getting faster to post the blog by every week.
