Week2

Main topic - communication and customer service

Nowdays we are working and dealing with different kinds people who use different language,from different
country and have different knowldege, culture etc.
In this course we are learning  that communication can be a very important part in our industry.
We normally use English as the common language, however there are many other countries who are not English speaker and they use their own language therefore there can be mistakes or misunderstandings between each other when we communicate or make deals.

Our group 5 students researched with each outlines which was related to customer service.
We each took part in reasearching an outline each, so it was more of an individual work in the last week.
Then we as a group presented our research in front of the class.
The group presentation was little difficult to me because I had no experience in English speech before.
It was good to hear what the other groups had researched and compare it to our groups work.
I think overall it was a interesting task which allowed me to understand more of communication and customer service situation of our industry.

Week 1

1st post for APPT5110 health & safety

I don't have much experiences in blogging but I suppose all students who attend this course will benefit from this blogging as it will show us what topics we get into and what we learn from them.
I believe this work will be a good resource and experience in our future working
This week’s topic was what is one of the biggest problem in our industry with limited space, resources and growing population.
Our group 5 students researched on the internet website and then we wrote down some informations related to the topic on a peice of paper.
Our brainstorming started from this sources then we ended with flexible solar panel as the solution for the week’s topic.

First, we researched what were the main problems in our industry at the moment.

Then we made 3 outlines in our brainstroming as the main problems which were marine engine noise, water polution and flexible solar panel.

In case of marine engine, the problem was its noise, secondly the water polution we decided not to go further as it was more of a global environmental problem.

Therefore we focused on solar panel such as where the solar panel need to be applied etc it could be the good answer of the topic as it is unlimited resource and eco-environment.
