Week 7

Today we had a task which was problem-solving with Treaty of Waitangi.
we approached to the task with six thingking hats in different point of view.
Actually I had no idea what was the treaty of waitangi before start, but by doing research and dicuss with our group members then I understood about the treaty.
there was an misunderstanding between Maori and British people because Maori was using their own language, not English.
by doing this when they make treaty, perhaps a lot of the meaning of the treaty may have been lost in translation.
for example there was no sovereignty in Maori language so Maori used kawanatanga instead of sovereignty, however when the word tlanslated to English it means more closer to governance.
on the other hand we feel it is out of date and has little relevance to today's workplace and our business
furthermore I think, Maori could create some equality with English and also they have achived in development of technology now.
